Privacy & voting rules

Vote GOAT is a fan voting game. Repeated taps count as support, not as unique people or objective truth.

Guest voting

A necessary, secure cookie remembers your random guest identity for up to a year. We store that identity with your votes, vote receipts and timestamps to maintain shared rankings, prevent duplicate retries and enforce allowances. This version has no advertising or analytics cookies.

Guests have 30 votes per UTC day. Allowances reset at midnight UTC. Deleting cookies can reset your identity; these rankings are not one-person-one-vote.

What we measure

Vote GOAT keeps first-party product measurements so the game can be understood and improved. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising identifier and no cross-site tracking. Alongside each accepted vote we store what the chart looked like before and after it, which page or challenge link you arrived from, which of the two cards you tapped, and how long you took since your previous vote. A random session identifier held in your browser’s session storage groups a visit together, and it is discarded when you close the tab.

We also record a small fixed set of product events: a visit starting, a challenge link being opened, the rules being expanded, a matchup being skipped, and a share being started or completed. These carry no message content and no contact details. The vote records are pseudonymous and are used to measure things like which categories and matchups people actually care about, whether a chart follows the crowd or leads it, and whether the game is fair to both cards on screen.

Nominating a contender

You can nominate someone who is missing from a chart. A nomination stores the name you enter, the one-line case you write, your identity and the time, and it is held in a moderation queue. Nothing you nominate appears on a chart until a person reviews and approves it, and the interface tells you that at every step. If it is approved, your name and reason are published on the chart beside the contender, and the vote you attached to the nomination is applied once, as a single vote. If it is rejected, nothing is published and you see the reason in your own list. Do not include anything in a nomination you would not want published.

Accounts and sharing

Account sign-in is available only when a provider is configured. If enabled, the provider account identifier and display name support your session and voting allowance. We never post to social networks for you. Sharing opens your device share sheet or a social website where you decide whether to post.

Storage

Votes are stored on our server and included in daily recovery backups. Guest votes are pseudonymous, not anonymous. Operational hosting logs may contain connection information for reliability and abuse prevention.

For privacy requests, use the contact details on SuperTimeUltra’s privacy page. Keep your guest cookie if you need us to identify your votes; do not publish or share it.
